Appleton police to honor SLC's Dr. James Begotka

dr. jim begotka resized MANITOWOC, Wis. —  Dr. James Begotka will be honored with the Appleton Police Department Civilian Community Service Award for his work in developing a community survey.

Dr. Begotka is interim vice president for academic affairs, director of the Master of Science in Leadership and Organizational Development program, and assistant professor of business at Silver Lake College of the Holy Family. 

The award is given to civilians who assist the police department in the accomplishing its mission. It will be presented at the Appleton Police Department’s Annual Honor Assembly at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 17 in the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel ballroom in Appleton.

Also honored for her contributions to the community survey is Dr. Kinga Jacobson, former director of institutional effectiveness and research at Silver Lake College.
