College to follow Wisconsin Department of Health Services Guideline

Posted On April 24, 2020

To All Members of the Holy Family College Community:
I hope that you and all of your families are safe and healthy. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services issued a guideline for “when a worker without symptoms who was exposed to COVID-19 return to work” that require a worker who has been in close contact of a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case be quarantined at home for a period of 14 days from the date of last contact with the individual. You may view this information at this web site https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/covid-19/employers . This recommendation is more restrictive than the CDC guidelines we currently have in place at the College for our work procedures for the duration of the Safer at Home executive order from Governor Evers. As we continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of everyone in our College family we have made the decision to implement this recommendation from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services as part of our current work policies until the Safer at Home executive order is removed or the Wisconsin Department of Health Services provides different guidance on this issue.

All other decisions communicated in my email to the College community in April 22, 2020 remain in place.

Thank you to everyone for all that you are doing and all of the sacrifices you are making both individually, and together as a College family, to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Peace and All Good,

Dr. Robert B. Callahan
Holy Family College President
