Christopher Cramer and Yi-Lan Niu will showcase their musical talents at a Classical Duo Concert, scheduled for 7 p.m. Oct. 11 at Silver Lake College.
The concert, presented by Holy Family Conservatory of Music, will be held on campus at Endries Hall, located in the Franciscan Center for Music Education and Performance.
Cramer, a classical guitarist, has performed at college campuses and performing arts centers across the country, as well as in Canada and Asia. He's also an active chamber musician, collaborating with various instrumentalists and singers. Cramer is a faculty member at Beloit College, where he teaches studio guitar lessons and directs the guitar ensemble program.
Niu, a soprano singer, began her music studies at the age of 4 in Taiwan. The assistant professor of music at St. Norbert College enjoys traveling and performing internationally, and is a featured soloist in the United States and Asia. She has premiered several works written for her, including the epic "Requiem" for solo voice and orchestra by Alexander Nohai-Seaman.
