Dr. Jessica Van Slooten to speak at Zimmer Forum

MANITOWOC, Wis. — Dr. Jessica Van Slooten, associate professor of English and gender, sexuality and women’s studies at the University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc, will be guest speaker at Silver Lake College’s next Father Bill Zimmer Forum on Tuesday, April 10.

The book group, which is free and open to the public, is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. in the Endries Family Heritage Room on campus, 2406 S. Alverno Road.

The event is presented by Silver Lake College in collaboration with St. Francis of Assisi Parish.

Dr. Van Slooten, who also is the University of Wisconsin Colleges gender equity coordinator, will focus on the book, “Anne of Green Gables,” by L.M. Montgomery.

This is the last Zimmer Forum for the academic year.
