Honor society students attend convention

MANITOWOC, Wis. — Members of Silver Lake College of the Holy Family’s Omega Beta Chapter of the biology honor society Beta Beta Beta attended the North Central 1 Regional District Convention at Saint Xavier University in Chicago on April 7.

Students (from left)  Michele Engelbrecht, Anna Hall and Danielle Byrum were accompanied by Dr. Danielle McKeithen, the chapter’s adviser. 

Hall (above) gave the oral presentation of her senior thesis, “Sugar Content of Infant Formula: Obesity as Related to Early Nutrition.”  She was invited to present her research in October, when she was awarded a grant from the Beta Beta Beta Research Foundation. 

Omega Beta Chapter also was honored as being the second chapter that had traveled the farthest to the convention.
