The Lady Lakers kept their hopes of an National Tournament Invitation alive by upsetting Grace Bible College Friday night 77 to 72. It was a great team win tonight. The Lady Lakers were defeated by Grace just two weeks ago by a score of 90 to 75. The Lady Lakers struggled from the field in the first half missing very makeable shots and trailed at half time 37 to 32. The second half was a different story. The Lady Lakers shot 46.2% from the field as well as 74.2% from the free throw line to take the lead mid-way through the second half. The team made some clutch free throws by Lyndsay Holschbach, Amanda Kudick and Courtney Clavers in the end to seal the victory.
Leading the way for the Lady Lakers was Lyndsay Holschbach with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Also in double figures was Amanda Kudick with 15 points most of them at the free throw line hitting 11-15 attempts and 7 rebounds. Jacquelyn Tanner also added 10 points.
The 17-11 Lady Lakers will be in action tonight hosting a very tough Moody Bible Institute. Game time is at 5:30.
