The Lady Lakers dropped a hard fought game to the NAIA athletic Judson Lady Eagles on January 4. The final score was 73 to 46. The Lady Lakers came out with an enormous amount of energy and actually held the lead until late in the first half. The Lady Lakers broke their press and were beating them down court and scored. Their press did not actually hurt us like the first game they played. They took off their press and switched to a very tight person to person which caused some problems to their offense. They made some shots down the stretch and moved out to a 35 to 24 lead at the half. The Lady Lakers came out of the half time with great determination but the lay off of the holiday caught up with the team and Judson went out to a 10 -2 run to start off the second half. The Lady Lakers never back down and played extremely hard for the entire game.Leading the way for the Lady Lakers was Raelyn Woock from Waupun Wisconsin with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Also in double digits was Amanda Kudick from Kewaunee, Wisconsin with 10 points and 6 rebounds. The 5 and 5 Lady Lakers will be taking on the UW Fond du Lac next Thursday, January 9/ Tip off time at 6:30, at the UW Manitowoc Gym. Come watch exciting Lady Lakers basketball.
