The Lady Lakers improved their record to 8-5 by winning their third straight game over NCAA Division III Mount Mary University 78 to 60. This was the first road game of the second half of the season and the Lady Lakers got off to a very sluggish start. The team did pick up the pace on defense and fought back late in the first half to take the lead just before half time 43 to 39. The second half the team played with much more enthusiasm. The Laady Lakers played extremely well on defense causing many turnovers which turned into easy layups to put the game away. The coaching staff was very excited to see the effort on the court as well as the enthusiasm on the bench in that second half. This was a team victory.
Leading the way for the Lady Laker was Raelyn Woock with a double double of 21 points and 14 rebounds along with 5 blocks. Three other Lady Lakers scored in double figures. Lyndsay Holschbach had 15 points, Courtney Clavers with 14 and Shanice Wilson coming home to Milwaukee scoring 12. Amanda Kudick had 5 assists and 5 steals.
The Lady Lakers will try to win their 4th in a row on the road against a very tough Marnatha Baptist Bible College this Thursday night at 5:00 pm.
