Lincoln High School senior April Brunner has signed a letter of intent to attend Silver Lake College and play for the women’s volleyball team.

Brunner, the daughter of Dan and Julie Brunner of Manitowoc, was an all-conference libero in high school.

She is the first student-athlete to sign a letter of intent for SLC volleyball since the start of the program four years ago, said Tara Stewart, the Lakers' head coach.

“I’m thrilled to be a Laker and to be a part of an amazing program with great people around me,” Brunner said.

Added Stewart: “I am very excited to be adding April to our roster. She is a tremendous athlete. April is a very passionate player and brings a lot of fire to the court. She gets along great with the team and they are looking forward to playing with her. I am extremely confident that April will be a great servant leader and community contributor for us here at Silver Lake College as well.”
