Silver Lake College announces our schedule of art exhibits for the 2014-15 academic year.
The exhibits are free and open to the public during regular business hours. Here’s the schedule (more exhibits may be added in future months):
Sept. 12 to Oct. 11: The Franciscan Exhibit, located in the Art Wing, will spotlight art from various artists depicting the Canticle of the Creatures, the San Damiano Cross and various aspects of the lives of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi.
Sept. 15 to Oct. 16: Karen Laudon of Madison will showcase her art, which is comprised of mixed media on handmade paper, small clay and encaustic sculptures. The exhibit will be held in Gallery 117, located on the lower level near the cafeteria.
Oct. 30 to Nov. 30: Garrett Krueger and Teresa Lind, sculptors from the Manitowoc area, will spotlight their work in Gallery 117.
Nov. 1 to Dec. 14: Silver Lake College student Kryssa Luckow will present her Senior Exhibit in the Art Wing.
Jan. 19 to Feb. 19: The black-and-white photography of Scott Edwards will be presented in Gallery 117.
Feb. 25 to March 25: Sturgeon Bay painter Lynn Gilchrist will spotlight her work in the Art Wing.
Feb. 25 to March 25: Donald Taylor, director of art galleries and curator emeritus and former professor at St. Norbert College, will hold a Mini Retrospect of his works in Gallery 117.
April 1 to May 25: Ernest Beutel of Sturgeon Bay, a painter and former art certification student at Silver Lake College, will present his work in the Art Wing.
March 31 to May 5: Silver Lake College student Randy Gruenweller will showcase his Senior Exhibit in Gallery 117.
