"Excited About Something," an exhibit of artwork by Sheboygan North High School art faculty and students, is on display at Silver Lake College.

The free exhibit is being showcased now through Monday, May 9, in the Lake's Edge Gallery, located on campus at the Franciscan Center for Music Education and Performance, 2406 S. Alverno Road.

"Excited About Something" explores the idea of self-expression without structural boundaries. The students selected their own substrate, thematic unit and intent for their works of art.

Students showing their art include Esther Segura ("Rebirth," oil on canvas), Katie Mendini ("Impure," acrylic on canvas), Brittany Wolf ("Small Different Worlds," collage on canvas), Mikayla Mork ("Sweet Nectar," collage on paper), Abrille Johnson ("Out of Touch," oil on canvas), Monica McClure ("Galaxy," acrylic on canvas), Melicia Sigala ("Aberration," ceramic), Ailen Flores ("The Modern City," acrylic on canvas), Sabrina Bennett ("In the Mind of Others," acrylic on canvas), Jennette Zachow ("The Guardians," acrylic on canvas), Tyler Galicia ("Madvillainy," acrylic on canvas), Nikki Chanthima ("Untitled," acrylic on canvas) and Lourdes Segura ("Hennette," acrylic on canvas).
