Holy Family College Music Department to host free Voice Studio Recital on Feb. 21

MANITOWOC, Wis. – The Holy Family College Music Department will host a recital featuring 10 voice students on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. The recital will be held in the Bob & Pat Endries Performance Hall in the Franciscan Center for Music Education and Performance on campus, 2406 S. Alverno Road. The voice recital is free and open to the public.

“We are excited to showcase some of our voice students who are taking lessons from our new voice faculty, Dr. Samuel Handley and Professor Amanda Majeski, who are professional Opera singers that are in high demand,” said Jonathan Kim, director of choral activities at Holy Family College. “Dr. Handley has sung with the Chicago Lyric Opera and Professor Majeski with the New York Metropolitan Opera.”

The recital features vocalists of varying voice types who are at different stages in their undergraduate careers. Senior vocalists include: Bradley Fahley, baritone, and Dawn Welling, soprano. Junior vocalists include: Theresa Nier, soprano, and baritones Noah Liermann and Christopher Ducasse. Sophomore Young Moua, tenor, also will perform. First-year students performing in the recital include: sopranos Carlye Burk and Faith Webb, alto Isabella Skirvin, and baritone John Burgermeister.
