Silver Lake College presents President’s CEO Breakfast on Nov. 11

Area business leaders are invited to hear Renee Hytry Derrington speak on Nov. 11 at the Silver Lake College President’s CEO Breakfast Series.

Hytry Derrington is Group Vice President of Design with Fletcher Building Laminates and Panels Group. She will speak about “Brand Challenge: Lessons from an International 100-year-old Formica Company” in the Ariens Atrium of the Franciscan Center for Music Education and Performance on campus, 2406 S. Alverno Road.

With more than 25 years designing surfacing products for the Formica brand internationally, Hytry Derrington of Manitowoc works with design teams in Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and New Zealand for New Zealand-based Fletcher Building. These surfaces have shaped interiors in homes, restaurants, hotels, hospitals and other spaces internationally.

She gives design trend presentations around the world and recently dedicated her time to collaborating with Pentagram for a book on the 100 years of the Formica brand and a special laminate collection.

The breakfast series is an opportunity for business leaders to hear dynamic speakers addressing topics of vital interest, to network and to provide professional development to their executive team members.

Check-in begins at 7:15 a.m., breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m. and the program ends at 8:30 a.m.
