SLC honor society chapter initiates members

MANITOWOC, Wis. — The Silver Lake College School of Education on April 26 held a reinstallation ceremony for the Upsilon Mu chapter of the Kappa Delta Pi international honor society in education, and initiated student members. 

Dr. Chris E. Domes, president of the college, opened the program. Daniel Minter, chair of the Department of Education, led the ceremonies. Dr. Aida Michlowski, professor of education at Marian University and founder of the original chapter at Silver Lake College in 1994, was an honored guest.

The following Silver Lake College education students were initiated into the society: Brianna Baesemann (vice president/treasurer), Jordan Barbeau, Courtney Clavers, Abby Gerhard, Allison Kozelek (president), Amanda Kudick, Mollie Landt (vice president/secretary), Ashley Moehn, Megan Lindemann, Kelsey O’Connor, Mikayla Opichka, Kendra Schultz and Maranda Yurk.

In addition to Minter, faculty members belonging to the society include Sister Michaela Melko, Sister Jan Villemure and Sister Margaret Ann Wallander.
