MANITOWOC, Wis. — Four saxophone players — including Drew Whiting, an adjunct music faculty member at Silver Lake College — make up the Coalescent Quartet, which will perform at the college this month.

The concert, part of SLC’s Artist Music Series, will begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 24 in the Franciscan Center for Music Education and Performance on campus, 2406 S. Alverno Road.

Formed in 2016, the quartet explores a diverse saxophone quartet repertoire, from traditional to contemporary works.

Its members Sumner Truax, Michael Shults, Nick Zoulek, and Whiting bring together years of combined chamber music experience to present exciting performances.

In addition to being active performers, members of the Coalescent Quartet are dedicated educators as well, teaching at numerous universities throughout Wisconsin and Ohio.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for seniors and $5 per for students (ages 5-18). To purchase tickets, visit sl.edu/tickets or call the box office at 920-686-6274.
