SLC presents music recital on March 30

MANITOWOC, Wis. — The Silver Lake College music department will present the Steinbrecher-Mayer Honors Recital at 7 p.m. on March 30.

The student recital, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Franciscan Center for Music Education and Performance on campus, 2406 S. Alverno Road.

 

The Steinbrecher-Mayer Honors Recital is performed in honor of Sister Francis Henry Steinbrecher and Sister Mary Aloyse Mayer, two influential figures in the early history of the undergraduate music program at Silver Lake College. Students are selected by the applied faculty based on their performance/professionalism in applied lessons and performance classes.

Participating musicians include:

Jeffrey Erdman, baritone; Benjamin Karnitz, tenor, piano and euphonium; Lydia Matthews, piano; Katherine Sohn, soprano and piano; Theresa Nier, soprano; Hanna Stolper, piano; Beverly Mark, piano; Benjamin Johnston, saxophone; Brad Fahley, baritone; Noah Liermann, piano and baritone; Kevin Sievert, piano and tenor; Will Elliott, trumpet; Emily Cattani, piano; and Mitchel Thomson, piano.
