‘Tunes to Love’ concert set for Feb. 8

MANITOWOC, Wis. — The Silver Lake College Music Department will present the “Tunes to Love” concert at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8 in the Franciscan Center for Music Education and Performance on campus, 2406 S. Alverno Road.

The evening will feature a program of romantic music, such as “Some Enchanted Evening,” “Blue Moon” and “My Funny Valentine.”

Performing are the Silver Lake Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. James Ackman, assistant professor of instrumental music; and the Silver Lake Chorale, under the direction of Jonathan Kim, assistant professor of choral music. 

Piano accompaniment will be provided by Dr. Diana Shapiro, assistant professor of music, and Dr. Stanislava Varshavski, who teaches piano at the college.                                                           

Performers include Meg Lehman, Theresa Nier, Tasha Rabe, Dawn Welling, Emma Knickelbine, Ashley Reif, Allyson Wasmer, Benjamin Karnitz, Jonathan McConnell, Young Moua, Christopher Ducasse, Niyimbona Fadhili, Noah Liermann, Benjamin Johnston, Katherine Sohn, Tyler Burk, Hanna Stolper, Michael Stearns, Tyler Jensen, Brad Fahley and Kelly Koeppen.
