Zimmer Forum Kathryn resized-1.jpgMANITOWOC, Wis. — “Being Mortal” by Atul Gawande will be the focus of the next Father Bill Zimmer Forum, which is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. on April 11 at Silver Lake College, 2406 S. Alverno Road.

The book group, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Generose Enrichment Center, Room 203, located at the top of the hill in the former St. Joseph Church. (This is a change in location from the regular meeting room.) The event is presented by Silver Lake College in collaboration with St. Francis of Assisi parish.

The presentation will be led by the Rev. Kathryn Kuhn, director of ministries at Cedar Community, a faith-based continuing-care retirement community with campuses in West Bend and Elkhart Lake.

An ordained minister in the United Church of Christ since 1997, Rev. Kuhn served parishes in Germantown, Kiel and Sheboygan Falls prior to coming to Cedar Community in 2013. The Rev. Kuhn, of rural Kiel, received her Masters of Divinity in 1995 from Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri.
